    Primary sources are the way we can take a glimpse at life (history, the present day, cultures, etc.) through the eyes of those who who are there to experience it.  Materials can include items such as photographs, documents, letters, diaries, maps, still and moving images, printed materials, music, and sound recordings, among others.  Check out the sites below to take a closer look at information first-hand:
